There are rumors of a town called Old Jefferson that is said to have been burned down and is now underwater in this lake. This was a real town that was on the Trail of Tears. The residents were told that a dam was being built to create the Stewart’s Family Reservoir and that the town would end up underwater, so they had to move. The water initially flowed into caves and spared the town, but the residents somehow set the town on fire.

Some report flickering lights and shadowy figures.
