Stillhouse Hollow Falls is a middle Tennessee waterfall that has become a local favorite for its ease of accessibility and its beauty. Stillhouse Hollow Falls State Natural Area is located just southwest of Columbia, Tennessee. The protected state natural area is made up of 90 acres, and it boasts a series of trails and stunning scenery.
You'll find everything from waterlogged hollows to shale-bottom streams and waterfalls throughout the park. A smattering of animals make their home in the area and the plant life is both wild and beautiful.

Most folks visit the park for the famed Stillhouse Hollow Falls. The waterfall itself can be found roughly two-thirds of a mile down Stillhouse Hollow Falls Trail, and water tumbles 75 feet from the crest of the falls to its base.
If you manage to sneak behind the waterfall itself, you just might find a beautiful view. Locals love to come and take a dip in the cool waters, especially during the heat of a southern summer.
The loop trail is considered easy, with a low-key elevation gain of 232 feet in its 1.2-mile length. The trail is accessible all year long, though it's best for swimming in the summer and spring seasons.
The hike is both dog- and kid-friendly and is partially paved. It's great for hiking, bird watching, and nature trips. If you keep quiet you may even get a peek at the native wildlife!
