This Chattanooga Restaurant Just Might Have The Best Desserts In All Of Tennessee
When you think of Chattanooga, you probably think of the city’s riverfront, the massive Lookout Mountain which overlooks the city, or maybe even the excessively advertised Rock City and Ruby Falls. But there’s a restaurant hiding right in the heart of downtown that has what are quite possibly the best desserts in the state, and the best part is that they have something new every time you go. If you love sweets, you need to visit this restaurant.
Right in the heart of downtown Chattanooga, the St. John's restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but what's on the inside is truly a mind-blowing experience.
St. John's Restaurant is lauded for their desserts, and for good reason. Just look at this Cordillera Chocolate Cake with red velvet "lava," berry-cream cheese ice cream, and caramel crispies. Can we just order a table full of these?
Their desserts rotate frequently, so you're always bound to get something new. This Chocolate Passion Fruit Cake with chocolate mousse, caramel passion fruit cream, and praline crunch looks absolutely heavenly.
Of course, it's not all dessert at St. John's. The restaurant is also known for their elegant menu that features everything from soups and salads to antelope.
The space itself is just as stunning as the plates. It's located in the St. John's Hotel building, which was built more than a hundred years ago.
They also have one of the best wine selections in the entire state, so for those of you who love a good glass of wine with your dinner, this is the spot to go!
St. John's Restaurant is only open for dinner Monday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday), so reservations are highly recommended. You can make them on
