Shelby Farms Park is located in Memphis, Tennessee, and stretches across a whopping 4,500 acres. Compared to the paltry 843 acres that make up New York's prime Central Park, the south sure knows how to upgrade a park.
Shelby Farms has been honored as one of the 20 largest urban parks in the entire United States. There are more than 20 bodies of water throughout the entire park, great for boating and fishing.
With more than 40 miles of paved and unpaved trails, and even a 10.65 mile paved cycling and pedestrian trail, it's a prime spot for locals and tourists.
The park boasts disc golf courses, as well as opportunities to indulge in games like laser tag, paintball and arrow tag. There are 10 acres of playing fields available for epic fun.
Make sure you check out the treetop adventure course as well, where you can indulge in ziplining, obstacle courses and even Tarzan swings.
