One weekend my family and I headed to Roan Mountain State Park Campground to spend the night. We wanted to stay here because we love the park and have been there many times, but we have never been to the campground. We didn’t know what to expect but once we arrived, the place absolutely blew us away. We loved this campground and let me tell you all there is to love about this place!

If you are wondering whether Roan Mountain State Park Campground is one of the best, I have to emphatically say yes! Plenty of space between sites, huge campsites, ample tree covering, and a flowing river are just a few of the things that make this a lovely place to camp for a peaceful weekend getaway. For more information on the park or to book a night, please visit the Roan Mountain State Park website. If you are looking to hike while you are in the park, make sure to head to the top of Roan Mountain and experience some of the best views in Tennessee, or stay right in the state park with many trails to explore. I would suggest Raven Rock Trail. Check out the video we made to learn all about this trail.
