Hike To Roan Mountain, Then Reward Yourself With A Pizza From Smoky Mountain Bakers In Tennessee

We all love great scenic hikes, those awe-inspiring views that just take your breath away. Getting outside and hiking can be rugged and rewarding work. Sometimes after a long hike, you want to be able to reward yourself with something extra tasty without having to count calories. The good news is that we have planned for you a wonderful, jaw-dropping hike with a view and a delicious reward at the end. When you want to hike Roan Mountain and then eat at a nearby restaurant, then Smoky Mountain Bakers is the place for you.
It is considered by many to be the prettiest spot on the whole Appalachian Trail. There are a lot of ways to hike around this beautiful mountain, but the way we suggest you take starts at Carver’s Gap. If you drive up the State Park and technically into North Carolina, you will find your way to the trailhead.
Hike up the grassy hill leading into a forest filled with dead trees.
Then when that brief section is over it gives way to incredible views for miles. Hike on up the first bald. The Round Bald area has so many views to take in that you will want to stay for a while.

The trail we suggest to do will take you further on down the path to the next point of interest which is called Jane Bald.
The trail itself will take you along the ridge line getting wonderful views of the Tennessee mountains on your left and the North Carolina mountains on the right. The trail will end with the last point called Grassy Ridge Bald. The hike is so worth it simply for the journey itself. You can keep going on if you want to because this is all part of the Appalachian Trail.
Once your hike is done, you will have a big appetite. The good news is you can drive on down the mountain back into town and 22 minutes later you will be greeted by this wonderful sight.
