Every city has their locals, and those locals know how to thrum the pulse of the city. Whether they’re frequenting different hot spots or avoiding the tourist no-go’s, we decided to chat with a few and figure precisely what they don’t recommend doing in Music City. Wait - what public transit...?

It's a lot of hard work and hard knocks - but the payoff can be brilliant.

Or unless you live there. In that case, Nashville is very sorry. The traffic sucks.

Nashville doesn't have too many, anyway - plus we have scads of locally owned coffee shops that are much better.

This is cliche and honestly quite terrible and we don't approve.

Ew. Never. No.

That's how you know a newbie.

Mainly because you'd be freaking out ALL the time. Even your housekeeper can sing like Madonna.

It's a normal thing.

Finding a Nashville native is like finding a unicorn, and transplants will never count. (Sigh.)

It's strictly for tourists - unless you're being ironic and head out to specifically LOOK at the tourists.
