This Hike In Nashville Will Give You An Unforgettable Experience
We love to hike. It gets us up close and personal with nature, infuses our smog-ridden lungs with a little fresh air, and cracks our eyes open to a world that’s green and buzzing and riddled with living creatures. Other than our stapler toting co-workers, that is. It’s a beautiful thing, to get out in the world and enjoy a bit of time away from it all, which is why we think it’s absolutely necessary that you enjoy this sweet reprieve from the crazy of day-to-day life. This hike in Nashville will score itself on your heart – we promise.

Located in Percy Warner Park, roughly nine miles from downtown Nashville, Mossy Ridge Trail is one of the most commonly trekked and photographed in the Nashville area.

Mossy Ridge Trail got its name from the sides of the trail that are located near Scott Hollow - they're carpeted in moss.

Like so. It makes for a stunning backdrop for your hike and illuminates the stunning foliage native to Middle Tennessee.

The trail comes in at 4.5 miles and makes a loop. It is open from sunrise to 11pm every day of the year.

500,000 folks visit the Warner Parks annually - that's a lot of people! Even Taylor Swift has famously visited in the last couple of months. It's the type of place that makes a lot of people happy. The Warner Parks were opened in 1927, by Percie Warner Lea and her husband Luke. They continue to draw guests on a daily basis.

The Warner Parks are the second largest of the municipal parks in the state - it only ranks below Shelby Farms in Memphis.
Also, this video covers the entirety of the trail. You can even hike from your living room – so cool.
