Make Your Summer Epic With A Visit To This Hidden Nashville Water Park
Nashville Shores may not exactly be “hidden” from the Nashville public, but ask anyone outside of the city limits, and it’s as if it doesn’t exist. One of the most exciting and family-friendly summer spaces in Middle Tennessee, if you have littles this is the place to go. There’s no summer as exciting, no summer as epic and memorable as one infused with that rush of excitement from a waterslide run.

Holding the title of Nashville's premier water park, Nashville Shores has been a family favorite of the Nashville community for years.

The 385-acre park sits on the shore of Percy Priest Lake, just a short drive outside of Nashville. Its location on the lake sets it apart as a water park, as they offer boat rentals, jet ski rentals, lakeside cabins, all in addition to their water rides.

The park has something for everyone. Relax in the 25,000 square foot wave pool, ride the 1,000 foot long lazy river, or get your adrenaline fix on one of their 8 slides.

One of the newest additions to the park is the Big Kahuna, a multi-person raft ride that sends riders through dark tunnels, down sudden drops, and around unpredictable turns.

New to the park in 2017 is the Barefootin' Bay attraction, a "Water Treehouse and Sprayground" that features more than 35 interactive water features, slides, and a tipping bucket for children of all ages. Just one more reason to bring the whole family!

Nashville Shores opens for weekends in early May but kicks in to an every day schedule after Memorial Day weekend. The park is open weekends from August to mid-September, so be sure to check the schedule in advance before making the trip to the park.

Tickets are $29 per person if you buy them online (they're $8 more if you buy at the park) plus taxes and processing fees. There's also a $9 parking fee at the park. If you plan on going more than once for the season, it's definitely worth looking at the Season Pass option, which is more expensive, but includes quite a few perks.
