This Nature Park Just Outside Of Nashville Is The Perfect Place To Escape The City
The spring and summer months regurgitate our love for fresh air, the outdoors and all sorts of fun in the sun. Whereas winter has its place (you can’t bash a good evening inside with hot cocoa!), there’s just something about the sweet smelling freshness of mid-summer blooms and rushing water. Whether you’re a nature aficionado or simply interested in getting outdoors, Bowie Nature Park offers one of the best day trip opportunities in the mid-state. Check it out!

Bowie Nature Park in Fairview is one of the Nashville area's most unspoiled parks and is certainly one of its best hidden gems.

The park is over 700 acres of forest and features over 17 miles of trails, perfect for hiking, running, and enjoying all of the beauty that Middle Tennessee has to offer.

The park, like the rest of nature, is open every day of the year. It's the perfect spot for families to come enjoy its expansive trails, lakes, and activities.

One of the unique things about Bowie Nature Park is its diversity of ecosystems. Pine forests, wetlands, oak forests, and grasslands are all within just a few hundred yards of each other.

The park offers plenty of activities for kids, including the Monkey Treehouse Playground, the annual Youth Fishing Rodeo, and puppet shows.

If it's hot or rainy, you can explore nature from inside, too. The nature center is fairly new and features exhibits and other opportunities to get connected to the park.

We know we don't have to convince you that Middle Tennessee is absolutely gorgeous, but it just is, and Bowie is the perfect place to experience all that it has to offer.

Grab the whole family and head down to Bowie Nature Park today! They're located in Fairview, about 45 minutes southwest of Nashville. You can visit from 5 am to 10 pm any day. Their location is 7211 Bowie Lake Rd. Happy hiking!
