Get Lost In This Beautiful Sunflower Farm Near Nashville
Wintertime has finally melted to the back of our memory, so that means Nashville locals are looking for ways to experience the balmy weather and get out of their homes. Located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Batey Farms operates as a working farm and hosts spades of locals and tourists throughout the year. Whether you’re looking for a day spent amongst seasonal blooms or perhaps a berry picking experience, this darling, family-owned farm makes for a perfect Saturday spent.
Batey Farms can be found tucked away in the heart of Rutherford County, roughly six miles from the heart of Murfreesboro.
The farm itself is family owned, and is now operating as an 8th generation business. The hog, hay, and row crop farm is one of the most historic and highly regarded working farms in middle Tennessee, dating back to 1807.
Sure, there's a year 'round farm store and the option to pick your own berries in the springtime, but we're absolutely in love with the sunflower fields that explode across the farm in mid-summer.
You'll want to check the Batey Farms social media channels to find the right time to visit, but in past years the sunflower fields have been located at 5331 Baker Road.
You can pay to cut your own sunflowers or simply marvel at their beauty. Batey Farms tries its hardest to support the local farming community, and there's a country store on-site as well. You can buy everything from locally raised pork products to pre-picked berries straight from the farm.
Fun for kids and adults alike, the sunflower fields at Batey Farm are bound to explode with blooms in the next couple of months. Even if the heat of summer starts to get you down, know that it brings one of the most beautiful sites in the mid-state.
Visit for yourself at 5331 Baker Road in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Hours vary, so make sure to check the Batey Farms website or their Facebook page before your visit.
