Frightmare Manor is located in East Tennessee, known for its terrifying haunted house scene every fall, as well as an illustrious (and tasty!) history as a restaurant. Did you know, however, that it was once the location of a brutal familial killing? Yep. It’s a real thing. Many like to brush the eerie story under the rug, and it’s hard to find a ton of information on Jeremiah Lexer and the death of his family – it was covered up fairly intensely at the time of the gruesome event, aka 1902, for political reasons.
