The Easy 1-Mile Winter Hike In Tennessee That’s Positively Bewitching
Stillhouse Hollow Falls is a solid hour outside of Nashville, but the beautiful spot hosts one of the shortest and most stunning trails in the state. Sometimes you want to get out in the great outdoors – but just for a quick jaunt, just for a bit. And that’s exactly what Mount Pleasant, Tennessee is looking to do for you. Let’s take a hike, shall we?

Stillhouse Hollow Falls Trail is one of the most traversed hiking trails in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. Mainly because it's easy for both young and old, and features an absolutely stunning waterfall at the end of it.

At just under a mile, you won't be in the woods very long. Stillhouse Hollow Falls Recreational State Natural Area encompasses 90-acres about 21 miles southwest of Columbia.

The falls is the biggest draw for the natural area. It plunges a solid 75-feet over the rock and is a gorgeous spot to visit no matter the time of year. You definitely want to be careful as you descend into the falls area, though - it's slippery down there!

The natural area has been protected since 2006, and has hosted thousands of folks that take hikes and pictures and nature walks every day.

We recommend bundling up if you walk the trail in the wintertime, or wait until the beautiful greenery of spring explodes throughout the park.
