This Magical Waterfall Campground In Wyoming Is Unforgettable

The Wind River Range in Wyoming is a wonderland for true outdoor enthusiasts. It has something for everyone including lush green meadows dotted with colorful wildflowers in the summer, trails for hiking and summits for climbing, and pristine lakes and ponds.

Some of those water features are fed by glacial falls, gushing from the rocks and cascading down the mountainsides. For those willing to really rough it, setting up camp near the falls flowing near the Cirque Of the Towers is an experience that won't be forgotten.

It's a valley carved out of granite by a glacier and we call it the "Cirque." The towering mountains attract hikers and campers who relish a challenge.

You'll find the Cirque and its magical falls in the Wind River Range located in the Bridger-Teton National Forest.

The hike into the Cirque is nearly 10 miles, but the views of the Wind River Range along the way will keep you going until you get to camp.

No permits are required to camp near the Cirque, but there are fees charged at the trail head campgrounds such as the Big Sandy Campground, according to summitpost.org.

The rocks shine like warm gold and the water from the falls sparkle and dance when the sun rises on the Cirque waterfall.
