From Tent Camping To Tiny House Dwelling, Oostema Farmstead Offers The Ultimate Washington Farm Stay

Oostema Farmstead in Lynden offers a unique farm stay experience with opportunities to shop, tour, interact with animals, and stay overnight.

Lynden is a quiet, peaceful, rural town in Whatcom County known for its Dutch population and beautiful farmland. And that's where you'll find the beloved Oostema Farmstead, a unique working farm where you can shop, tour, mingle with animals, and even spend the night. The only thing difficult about this relaxing place is leaving it.

Oostema Farmstead is a short drive from downtown Lynden, and you'll know it as soon as you see it.

This big barn is the landmark letting you know you've arrived.

Glen and Lisa Oostema are the owners and operators of the farm, and they work tirelessly to ensure things run smoothly.

You'll find plenty of seasonal produce and flowers growing in the onsite gardens, some of which is available for guests.

During your visit, you'll have plenty of time to check out the adorable animals.

Friendly Wagyu cattle roam the grounds, and you'll see pigs, goats, and chickens in the barn.

The Oostema family loves to host overnight guests in the farmhouse apartment, tiny farmhouse, and the campground.

They have welcomed guests from all over Washington and all around the world.

The Farmhouse Apartment is a 1200 square foot space that offers plenty of privacy and room to relax.

The apartment offers stunning panoramic views of the sweeping farmlands, which you can enjoy from your private patio.

Both the Townhouse Apartment and the Tiny Farmhouse have big, cozy beds and access to the property's hot tub...

... but if you'd prefer to camp, you're welcome to bring your RV or tent (when the weather allows).

The property is a beautiful place to camp, and you'll have access to picnic tables, outhouses, and cold water sinks.

If you've been craving wide, open spaces, plan to visit Oostema Farmstead this year.

You can bring the entire family, including your well-behaved dogs.
