Jay Peak Resort Has Some Of The Best Skiing And Snowboarding Options In All Of Vermont

Jay Peak Resort in Vermont offers premier skiing and snowboarding with excellent terrain and conditions.

There are quite a few places to ski and snowboard in Vermont: Stowe Mountain, Smuggler's Notch, Killington, Sugarbush, Mad River Glenn, Okemo Mountain, Mount Snow, and some smaller resorts as well. This is all to say that mountain resorts in Vermont are a competitive venture. One resort I left off that list is Jay Peak Resort, which by no means is a small or insufficient resort. To the contrary, Jay Peak is one of the most premier places in Vermont to enjoy East Coast skiing and riding. And although Jay Peak is situated way up north in the middle of nowhere, between the towns of Montgomery and Jay, the resort at Jay Peak attracts skiers and snowboarders from all over, for good reason, too. The terrain and conditions at Jay Peak are arguably the best in the East.

Having opened in 1957, Jay Peak Resort has been expanding its growing and adaptive resort ever since. Located just four miles south of the Canadian border, Jay Peak is situated in a powder-loving area of the state. The average annual natural snowfall is a staggering 359 inches.

The mountain has a vertical drop of 2,153 feet, 385 acres of terrain, four terrain parks, and 81 trails, 40 percent of which are considered advanced/expert terrain.

There are a total of nine lifts at Jay Peak Resort: 1 Tram, 4 Quads, 1 triple, 1 double and 2 surface lifts.

With more powder days that any resort in Vermont and amazing terrain and trails, Jay Peak is a dream resort for skiers and riders alike.

The ski resort is open till mid-May. For more information about the resort, skiing conditions, lift ticket prices, and more, visit their website here.
