Catch A Gigantic 30 Pound Trout And Camp In A Cozy Cabin At Utah’s Fish Lake Resorts

Pictured is Johannah Skougaard, who caught a 34-pound Mackinaw trout in 1917. The fish was 54 inches long! Johannah held the record for the largest fish caught here for many years.
Head to Fish Lake Lodge for a fishing and camping trip you'll never forget. It sits at 9,000 feet, so it's often a cool respite from the summer heat.
The current lodge was built in 1932, and it's a historic gem that still welcomes guests.
Check out this beautiful structure that's made from native spruce logs. Once considered one of the largest log buildings in the West, this lodge measures 80 x 320 feet!
Fish Lake Resorts offers boat rentals so you can get out on the lake to troll for fish.
Fish Lake is one of Utah's most popular fishing spots, and the Utah Department of Wildlife Resources reports that the lake provides 80,000 to 100,000 hours of fishing recreation ever year.
