The nation's second-largest canyon resides right here in Texas, and you can spend the night near the very tip-top. Palo Duro Canyon has three cabins situated on its rim, offering unparalleled panoramic views of the gorgeous red rock landscape. If you've ever wanted to stay in the rim cabins at Palo Duro Canyon, this is your chance!

Palo Duro is the second largest canyon in the country, only falling short of the Grand Canyon itself. With over 30 miles of trails and standing at nearly 3,500 feet tall, it's truly one of the most incredible natural wonders in our state.

Three beautiful brick cabins, all built nearly 100 years ago by the CCC, are located at various spots along the canyon rim. Guests experience what being on top of the world feels like, gazing out at the seemingly infinite peaks and valleys of the majestic red rock landscape.

Up to four people can sleep in each cabin, with one queen and two twin beds ensuring everyone is comfy as can be. Linens are provided, as well as a heater for those balmy desert nights.

Other amenities include two fireplaces, a full bathroom, microwave. and small mini-fridge in both the Goodnight and Lighthouse cabins. 3 p.m. is check-in time, while check-out is at 11 a.m.

You'll also enjoy an outdoor grill and picnic table, perfect for a family cookout on a warm spring day. Surroundings like this, good company, and a bright blue sky make for a truly unforgettable trip.

Once night falls, the views get even better. Due to its remote location, the park boasts some of the darkest skies in Texas, so expect to see at least thousands of stars glittering in the sky.
