My Romantic Weekend Getaway at the All-New Stellara Resort in the Smoky Mountains
A relaxing and dreamy weekend getaway to the Smokies with my wife at a romantic treehouse and mirror cabin resort was just what we needed.
Beneath the cool glow of a waxing gibbous, we wound through dark, twisting mountain roads, carving our way through what felt like a forgotten backcountry. Then, like a beacon in the night, we spotted the glowing sign: Stellara. We had arrived at our much-anticipated stargazing retreat, and what awaited us was even more magical than we imagined.
I’d long dreamed of staying in one of Tennessee’s mirror cabins, and on a crisp March evening, that dream became reality. From the moment we stepped inside, it was clear Stellara was something special. Champagne chilled on ice, a soft mist of sweetly scented aroma filled the air, and tiny lights sparkled off the mirrored walls, creating an ethereal glow. The hosts had thoughtfully set the stage for a weekend of pure relaxation, and their hospitality continued throughout our stay. A simple text check-in here, a thoughtful touch there—it was clear they had perfected the art of making guests feel cared for without being intrusive.
That first night, after a bit of exploring, I poured myself a cup of the most enchanting loose-leaf tea I’d ever tasted—Magic Hour. By the end of the weekend, I’d consumed as much as possible and knew I’d be hunting it down for my own collection.
Arriving on a Friday night turned out to be the perfect way to take in our first impression of Stellara. After parking in the gravel lot, we followed the steep paved path up to our cabin, where the warm glow from inside gave us a glimpse of the amenities we’d enjoy over the next few days. The moment we opened the door, we were swept into what felt like a journey through the stars. The mirrored walls played tricks on the eye, multiplying the cozy space into something that felt infinite yet intimate. A handwritten note with our names welcomed us to our dreamy escape, setting the tone for a truly special weekend.
After a restful night, I woke to birdsong and golden morning light spilling over the forested mountains, flooding our little cabin with warmth. With clear skies and perfect weather, we enjoyed breakfast outside, soaking in the breathtaking Smoky Mountain views in peaceful silence. Then, we set off to explore the resort’s shared spaces. Though every treehouse and mirror cabin was occupied, the mountains remained blissfully quiet. We lingered in the common area, took in the stunning vistas, and wandered through the hammock and crystal garden, breathing in the crisp mountain air.
Back at our cabin, it seemed our hosts had anticipated every need before we even voiced it. The firepit was prepped with dry logs and kindling, ready to light at our return. The scent of crackling wood filled the air, creating the kind of warmth only a campfire can bring. The bubbling jacuzzi beckoned, promising relaxation under the swaying trees. Between the hot tub, sauna, and firepit, everything we needed for a romantic retreat was right at our fingertips.
This stay wasn’t just about luxurious amenities—it was an escape, a chance to disconnect from the world and reconnect with each other. In the heart of the Smokies, wrapped in the magic of Stellara, we found the perfect blend of adventure, tranquility, and romance.
Regarding mirror cabins in Tennessee, there is nothing quite like the ones found at Stellara. I was beyond thankful I had such a memorable and romantic experience with my wife on a starry retreat. If you also want to take your significant other on a romantic retreat, then book your stay on the Stellara website. Trust me when I say these mirror cabins are out of this world and an excellent way to enjoy the Great Smoky Mountains.
