Sip Wine And Mingle With Ghosts In One Of South Dakota’s Oldest, Most Haunted Bars

Discover the haunted Historic Fairmont Hotel Oyster Bay Bar in Deadwood, South Dakota, known for its ghostly encounters and nightly ghost tours.

Are you a lover of all things paranormal? When you hear a place is haunted, do you just have to visit it? Do you hate to drink alone? If you answered yes to any (or all) of the above, you are in luck, as South Dakota is home to one of the most haunted bars in the country where you can drink wine with ghosts:

Tucked away in the most haunted town in South Dakota (Deadwood) is the equally spooky Historic Fairmont Hotel Oyster Bay Bar.

Founded in the late 1800s, the Historic Fairmont has worn a number of hats over the years, including that of a brothel, outlaw saloon, and - most recently - karaoke bar and restaurant.

Boasting much of its original ambiance, the Fairmont is a fun and unique place to have dinner and drink, but watch out, as you never know just who may be watching you.

No, we aren't just referring to the bartender and staff!

According to staff and patrons alike, the restaurant is teeming with the paranormal, including the ghost of a young girl who, in 1907, took her own life by jumping out of a window...

...A brothel customer who was shot and killed by the boyfriend of a worker...

...and the spirits of others who have yet to be identified.

Do you want to connect with and/or see one of the Fairmont spirits? No problem, as the restaurant hosts ghost tours every night at 8:30 p.m.

Did you notice the floating face above the man in the center of this photo?

The ghost tour costs $20 per person and lasts approximately 80 minutes.
