Suffering from a bit of spring fever yet? Mother Nature certainly has been toying with our emotions. Going from frigid temps and snow to days when nothing but shorts will do (then back again). Perhaps a bit of camping out - in a rustic log cabin - might do you a bit of good right about now? This log cabin campground near Pittsburgh promises an enchanting experience in a rustic setting.
Tucked away in the Laurel Highlands, Leber's Log Cabins offer a retreat from the busyness of every day life.
The log cabin campground sits in the town of Markleysburg, an hour and a half from downtown Pittsburgh.
A popular spot for travelers since 1932, the grounds feature eight rustic log cabins.
Traveling as a couple? Opt for one of the intimate two-person log cabins. Cabins that sleep four and six are also available.
Amenities include cable television, a common room, towels, linens, a fire ring, and picnic tables.
Carve out time to visit the onsite antique store. A fruit stand is also located near the cabins.
During the warmer months, cool off in the shimmering swimming pool or sunbathe near the water.
Or, explore the local attractions. The log cabins are within easy distance of Ohiopyle State Park, Fallingwater, Lady Luck Casino, and Fort Necessity.
Log cabins, which are pet-friendly, are available for a nightly rate. If you stay six consecutive evenings, you will pay the weekly rate instead.
