This Log Cabin Campground In Oregon May Just Be Your New Favorite Destination

Do you love Oregon's natural beauty, but hate sleeping in a tent on the ground? A little log cabin may be just what you need — a softer bed, and access to hot showers and real bathrooms. Check out this pretty state park!

L. L. Stub Stewart State Park is located just 34 miles west of Portland, and it's a pretty spot for a getaway.

The park encompasses 1,800 acres and offers up some fantastic views, rolling meadows, and forests.

Stop by the Stub Stewart Welcome Center, where you can pick up a bike helmet, or some discs for the disc golf course, and visit the Discovery Depot, where you can chat with a ranger to learn more about the park and its wildlife.

For cozy cabin camping, stay at the Mountain Dale Cabin Village, which offers 12 single-room cabins and 3 double-room cabins.

Cabins are pretty basic, but they're equipped with beds and mattresses, tables and chairs, fire pits, and picnic tables.

The view from the front porch can't be beat.

You'll enjoy a hot shower and flush toilets here, too.

If you'd rather bring your RV, you can camp in the Dairy Creek Camp West and Dairy Creek Camp East campgrounds, which offer RV sites with hookups.

If you're willing to rough it, you'll enjoy some peace and relative solitude at the Brooke Creek Hike-in Camp, which has 23 primitive spots and vault toilets.

If you love to bask in the beauty of Oregon's great outdoors, this is an easily-accessible place to do it. Take a hike along the 25 miles of trails in the park...

...take your mountain bike for a spin on one of the biking trails...

...and play a round of disc golf on the 18-hole course.

By the middle of summer, a blanket of wildflowers covers the meadows in the park.

Campers often spot wildlife here, too. Keep an eye out for deer!
