This Historic Inn In New Mexico Is Set Upon A Beautiful Lavender Farm
Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Organic Farm offers a unique blend of history, luxury accommodations, and farm-to-table dining in New Mexico.
When escaping to somewhere beautiful in the Southwest, you'll have plenty of options. However, this historic inn in the Rio Grande River Valley is straight out of a storybook. From lush fields of lavender to fresh ingredients grown on-site for mouthwatering meals, there's no better—or more interesting—place to get away in New Mexico.
Welcome to Los Poblanos Historic Inn!
Not only is this beautiful inn spectacular, it’s also an organic farm!
The land that Los Poblanos now sits on was inhabited by pueblo Indians in the 14th century.
Though the history of this ranch goes way back, to this day it represents the original 800-acre establishment owned by the Congressman, Albert Simms, and his wife, Ruth Hanna McCormick Simms as their private home.
The wife commissioned architect John Gaw Meem to turn this ranch into something new in 1932.
Numerous artists, craftsmen, and gardeners turned the ranch into a beautiful new place to hold community events. This new center was deemed the La Quinta Cultural Center and it still holds art from the beginning.
John Gaw Meem is responsible for this breathtaking inn.
Meem is said to be one of the most important architects of New Mexico, and La Quinta has become one of the most important buildings in the area.
This property is one of the highest esteemed inns in the Southwest.
With 50 guest rooms equipped with fireplaces and antique New Mexican furnishings, this inn is top of the line.
There’s so much to do at this jaw-dropping inn.
Guests can roam the courtyard, explore the fields of lavender, or see the organic farm that supplies one of the best kitchens around.
That’s right - Los Poblanos’ field-to-fork restaurant is to die for.
The on-site restaurant, Campo, is some of the best casual fine-dining you’ll find—and it doesn’t get more fresh!
