Reaching Tioga Falls Cabin is a bit of a trek; you'll find is down a two-track trail from the main road. The drive is best done in a truck, but with careful driving, a regular car will do just fine.
The cabin sits on a secluded, 80-acre property that has sole, private access to Tioga Falls. And since it is uniquely surrounded by the Tioga and Sturgeon Rivers, there is plenty of wading, swimming, canoeing, and fishing opportunities for brook and brown trout.
You will find the falls right outside the screened porch. Accessing them requires a bit of effort; a challenge you will not mind repeating once you are under the glorious waterfall. Campfires are allowed, but only in the fire ring situated away from the cabin.
Tioga Falls Cabin has two bedrooms and can accommodate up to six adults. Bedding items are provided, but if you are particular about thread count, bring your own. For warmth, there is a wood-burning stove to keep you comfortable and toasty during your stay.
The lone bathroom is of a comfortable size, offering basic amenities and supplies. Keep in mind that the nearest store is 30 minutes away, so pack enough personal care products. Try to also limit the use of blow dryers to conserve energy as the cabin is solar powered.
The kitchen offers a four-burner stove with an oven, propane refrigerator, coffee pot, toaster, refrigerator, and basic kitchen supplies.
