There’s A Breathtaking Hotel Tucked Away Inside Of Massachusetts’ Mount Greylock State Reservation

Bascom Lodge on Mount Greylock offers stunning views and a unique mountaintop hotel experience in Massachusetts.

Massachusetts is full of glamorous hotels and charming colonial inns, but there’s one spot hidden away in a state reservation that you may not know about. Bascom Lodge is located all the way at the top of Mount Greylock in western Massachusetts. It has some of the best views in the state, but is still something of a hidden gem. Here’s what you need to know about staying at this breathtaking mountaintop hotel.

Bascom Lodge is situated on the peak of Mount Greylock. It looks like a mountaintop manor from a storybook, but it’s actually a beautiful hotel.

The lodge was originally built in the 1930s and has retained its old-fashioned appeal. Perched 3,491 feet above the ground, it’s a haven for hikers and travelers.

The biggest draw here is the view. This is the sight you’re met with when you step outside. You can’t beat it.

There are two ways to reach the lodge. You can tackle the roughly six-mile hike to the top, or simply hop in your car and drive to the summit.

Rates vary according to what kind of room you want. There are standard private hotel rooms available for $125 per night, but you can also stay in a group bunk room for $35 or a private family room with a queen bed and multiple bunk beds for $150 per night.

Along with the jaw-dropping view, guests can enjoy complimentary breakfast treats, WiFi, organic blankets and sheets, and mineral water.

You’ll never forget a stay at Bascom Lodge on Mount Greylock.
