This Home In Connecticut Surrounded By Fall Foliage Is The Best Place For An Autumnal Getaway
There are many things to love about fall in Connecticut, like cooler weather, amazing festivals, and activities like pumpkin patches and corn mazes. One of the prettiest aspects of the season, though, has to be the beautiful fall foliage. The resplendent golds, reds, and yellows make the season oh-so-special, and there's nothing like going out for a drive or stroll through a park and seeing this brilliant rainbow of foliage to brighten your day. If you're looking for the perfect place to celebrate the season, we've found a charming vacation rental home in East Haddam, CT. It's a great home base for admiring the leaves and other fun fall activities. Check it out:
One of our favorite fall activities is getting out into nature.
This darling countryside home is in East Haddam, and it's got great forest views for admiring the leaves.
The five bedrooms can host up to nine guests, and you'll have plenty of room to spread out.
One of my favorite things about the home is the outdoor area - there's so much to enjoy here! There's a deck and outdoor seating area, plus a grill.
The house is within walking distance of Devil's Hopyard State Park.
The fact that this is allegedly one of the most haunted places in Connecticut certainly makes this park a must-visit in fall, and the beautiful leaves surrounding the park's covered bridge and waterfall don't hurt, either!
Another amazing nearby attraction is Gillette Castle State Park.
The fairy tale castle here is pretty incredible at any time of year, but it's especially magical when the leaves are all turned.
East Haddam is such a wonderful weekend getaway, especially in autumn.
