Boasting great architecture and landscaped grounds, it's stunning! Luckily, it's open to the public for tours, so you can see it for yourself.
Subiaco Abbey is about 5 miles east of Paris, AR.
The monastery’s grounds boast a retreat center, chapel, living quarters for monks, and Subiaco Academy, a day and boarding school for boys.
Originally known as St. Benedict Priory, it was founded in 1877!
But you don't have to be a monk to enjoy the monastery. It's open to the public and is a great visit year-round.
When it comes to visiting Subiaco Abbey, you have a few options. The monastery offers both guided and self-guided tours. (It should be noted that guided tours are for groups of 10 or more.)
Self-guided brochures, which are available at the retreat center, lead to the monastery’s best sites, ensuring you don’t miss a thing.
You can do more than tour the monastery, though. You can join the monks in communal prayers, which are offered five times a day.
