Twin Peaks Campground is affordable, offers 208 tent and RV sites in the desert, and is perfect for a remote escape no matter the time of year.

In a state with great weather throughout the year, it's no wonder why camping is a popular activity year-round. One year-round campground in Arizona to check out happens to be in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, a 330,000-acre desert oasis by the U.S.-Mexican border. Twin Peaks Campground is affordable, offers 208 tent and RV sites in the desert, and is perfect for a remote escape no matter the time of year.

For just $20 per day, you can reserve a campsite at Twin Peaks Campground at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. There are both single and group campsites, depending on your needs. Of the 208 campsites, 34 are for tents and 174 are for RVs, for of which can accommodate an RV up to 45 feet in length.

No hookups are available here but certain RV sites allow generators that can be run between certain hours. There are also several restrooms with solar-heated showers along with running water, electrical outlets, and flush toilets for your convenience.

At each campsite, you'll find a picnic table and a fire ring. However, you are not allowed to collect firewood from the park, so please bring your own before arriving!

Twin Peaks Campground is an incredible home base for exploring this vast and remote national monument. Located by several trails, you can spend your days hiking through the desert landscape. Additionally, there is the Kris Eggle Visitor Center located just 1.5 miles from the campground. It's a good idea to spend time at the visitor center in order to learn more about the park and ask the rangers any questions you may have.

If you don't want to stray too far from your tent or RV, go for a short 1.2-mile hike along the Twin Peaks Campground Perimeter Trail that circumnavigates the campground. For other trails by the campground, download the AllTrails+ app.

So, will you go tent or RV camping at Twin Peaks Campground in Organ Pipe Cactus National Park? You can reserve your campsite through Recreation.gov. In addition to the daily campsite of $20, there is a 7-day park entry fee of $25 to be paid upon arrival at the national park.

If you don't have an RV, don't worry! You can find one to rent from RVshare. And if you need a new tent, there's no better place to get one than REI.
