Just a quick five minute boat ride from Sitka, the Rockwell Lighthouse sits oceanside on the private Rockwell Island. Water taxi is included with your stay both at arrival and departure.

If you stay for more than three days, an extra complimentary water taxi trip is included for a trip to town for supplies or just to take a walk and see the sights.

The lighthouse was built in 1983 by a local veterinarian who hulled all the wood and constructed it himself.

Air conditioned and heated, this place is luxuriously cozy any time of year. There are four twin bunks, a queen size bed, and a floor mattress.

Outdoor decks wrap around the entire property for the view, and the interior thrid floor is completely glass with nine windows for a 360-degree views of Sitka and the Eastern Channel.

Kayaks and paddleboards are available on site for cruising the waters near the island on peaceful days. Satellite television is provided for those not so sunny days. You can book a business retreat here for a quiet place to focus.
