If you’re looking for a historic stay in the heart of Skagway, look no further than the Historic Skagway Inn.

This incredible hotel is located within the Klondike Gold Rush National Park Historic District, right in downtown Skagway. The hotel was built in 1897, and originally catered to the miners who came to Alaska for the Gold Rush.

The inn has had quite a lifetime of different uses over the past 124 years.

Throughout the years, it has been used as a brothel, a boarding house, and the Frontier Country Inn. The house still has a lot of unique and antique features and furnitures that helps keep the past alive within the building.

There are 10 bedrooms at the inn.

Each bedroom is named after one of the ladies who "worked" at the bordello when the building first opened. In fact, if you click on the room name to book on the website, it will give you a short biography of the woman it's named after.

Most of the rooms use a shared bathroom.

There are two shared bathrooms, plus an extra shower. Three of the rooms do have their own private bathroom, and two each have a powder room.

Don’t forget to dine at Olivia’s Alaskan Bistro while you’re here.

Attached to the inn, you’ll get delicious, fresh Alaskan ingredients straight from the garden and the sea. They specialize in Alaskan seafood, and even offer regional dishes like Caribou Medallions.

Rates at this charming inn start at only $104 per night for their smallest room on a weekday.

The larger rooms start at $142 per night and go up from there depending on a weekday or a weekend. It’s great value, especially for the location.

Spend the night at this historic hotel the night time you’re in Skagway.

Surrounded by history, and steps away from all that downtown has to offer, it’s the perfect place to stay. You’ll love every minute here!
