Here Are The 10 Best Places To Live In Nashville… And Why
Nashville is a booming city. Thousands of people a month move to Nashville with the intention of staying, driving rent prices through the roof, giving our city economy a solid boost, and keeping our traffic bumper to bumper. If you're just making your way over to Music City, you may need a little advice as to where to find your first little spot. We've found the best places to live in Nashville that are sure to get you psyched for your new home.
10) West End
West End is best if you're a Vanderbilt student or in the medical field. Mainly a business area, you'll find a strip of local bars in midtown and lots of coffee shops that will help you get that paper done. Infused with Vandy kids, you'll have the ability to take a walk in Centennial Park to clear your head.
9) The Nations
Still considered up and coming, The Nations has slowly been rebuilt in the last couple of years. From a lower middle class blue collar neighborhood to a brand spankin' new family area with a revamped couple of parks and high rental prices, it just may be your cup of tea.
8) Berry Hill
If you're looking to be close to downtown without the actual "downtown-ness" of it all, then Berry Hill is your spot. Full of single family homes and trees that change color in the autumn, it's a bit of Tennessee paradise.
7) The Gulch
Uptown Nashville, anyone? You have to be pulling in some solid dough every month to own one of these condos. Gorgeous, sleek, and the total "It" spot for young professionals, The Gulch will get you in with the sleek and successful, that's for sure. You'll live across the hall from them.
6) Inglewood
Located on the outer edges of East Nashville, you'll find a single family home and a whole lotta yard. Prices are high, but that's what you have to pay to be almost-hipster.
5) Hillsboro Village
Darling any time of year, Hillsboro Village is perfect for students and young professionals. You'll have to bunk up with a couple of roommates, but for a house with stunning light and hardwood floors? #worthit
4) Germantown
Think, "The Gulch" with a lot more Nashville character and family homes as opposed to condos. Once the rough part of town, it's recently been infused with out-of-state dreamers that have given the area a breath of fresh air.
3) East Nashville
The original, "hipster" spot, East Nashville is still teeming with exciting restaurants and a wide range of folks. Young families, settled Nashvillians, college students, and couples in their mid-twenties. It's a good place to work up to, once you can afford it. Start in The Nations, and work your way to cool.
2) Sylvan Park
This is an amazing spot for families - hands down. Grab breakfast at Star Bagel, walk the park at McCabe, enjoy walking around your darling neighborhood and live your life in small town style. We adore this spot - no matter who you are.
1) 12 South
You'll find Belmont students and well-off families making their home in 12 South. The main strip boasts all sorts of fun restaurants and coffee shops, cult hits like imogene + willie and Sevier Park. It's an upper middle class dream.
