1. Comstock Lode
The Comstock Lode, America’s largest silver deposit, was founded in Nevada in 1859.

4. Hoover Dam

Nevadans are huge supporters of the military.
7. Agriculture
Agriculture is one of Nevada's most important industries. At 3,500 acres, Nevada's ranches rank third in the nation in terms of size.
8. 15th Amendment Ratification
Nevada was the first state to ratify the 15th Amendment to the United States Constitution. This amendment prohibits the federal and state governments from denying a citizen the right to vote based on their race, color or previous condition of servitude.
9. Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is the largest alpine lake in North America and is a top tourist attraction.
10. State Pride
Nevadans love to demonstrate their state pride. For example, their annual celebration, Nevada Day, is the largest statehood celebration in the nation. It commemorates Nevada's admission to statehood on October 31, 1864.

Nevada produces more gold than any other U.S. state, and it's the fourth largest gold producer in the world.
12. Lehman Caves
Located within Great Basin National Park, Lehman Caves is a gorgeous marble cave that's ornately decorated with stalactites, stalagmites, helictites and more than 300 rare shield formations. Lehman Caves was discovered approximately 130 years ago and attracts thousands of visitors yearly.
