It's been a little while since we looked back at the good ol' days, hasn't it? Well, the 1960s were a wild time with plenty of new styles and tall hairdos. We were still without phones, and most of us still had a radio in our home along with our tiny (compared to now) televisions. We went to the library, went dancing, and ate at local restaurants. However, there's some times you want to go way back, and these vintage photos are just what you need. Check them out below for a step back in time.
1. This supermarket right out of the 60s.
Bob Lemons owned a small chain of supermarkets in the Kansas City area between the 1960s-90s. This market was located in the 4500s block of North Oak Trafficway.
2. A postcard right out of the 1960s.
This is The Landing Mall in Kansas City, MO.
3. Here are two more postcards, from the same mall.
4. This blown gas main in 1962
It was a 30" gas main that went off, killing no one, thankfully.

Is that a box of animal cookies I see?

This photo was snapped in October 1965.
