Have you ever found yourself knee-deep in Georgia traffic, frustrated as can be, but simultaneously wondering why you’re surrounded by bad drivers?

According to online insurance marketplace QuoteWizard, Georgia ranks as in the top 20 states with the worst drivers.

Experts from QuoteWizard analyzed over two million data points from the Federal Highway Administration, then broke that information up into different categories.

First to be analyzed was accidents, determining the amount of accidents per year per state.

Then, the next information to be analyzed was speeding tickets, how many speeding tickets were issued in Georgia.

The next bit of information to be used was DUI incidents—exactly how many DUIs were issued for the year.

Also used in determining the worst drivers were citations issued—the type of citation and how many.

Finally, fatalities from driving also played a huge role in determining which state has the best and worst drivers.

The number one state for worst drivers in 2018 was Maine, meanwhile the number one state for best drivers was Michigan.

Georgia came in number 15 of the worst drivers, which might just explain why your driving frustrations are growing each and every year.
