Lovers Cove Marine Preserve is the place to find some of the clearest water in Southern California. If you’re hoping to go snorkeling, this inlet is an excellent spot to go. With clear, blue water all the way down, you’ll be able to see all kinds of beautiful marine life. 

Lovers Cove is found on Santa Catalina Island near the main town of Avalon. The cove makes for a peaceful atmosphere and a wonderful way to explore the natural environment.

Keep an eye out for the orange Garibaldi fish, which is common to the Pacific Ocean all along Southern California. They are one of the most commonly spotted fish since they are so bright and cheerful! You’ll certainly see more marine creatures too.
