This delightful fusion restaurant in West Hollywood, CA, is relatively new on the scene but has already created quite a buzz.

Queen Violet is a one-of-a-kind Asian fusion eatery located in West Hollywood, California. The restaurant’s whimsical concept imagines customers to be Queen Bees who return again and again to this place - their “hive.”

Entering through the front of the restaurant, with its iron gate and beautiful hanging wisteria, is a bit like entering a dream.

The courtyard dining area in the center of a classic European-style building is just so pretty with its brick floor, eclectic collection of tables and chairs, and flowers and trees simply everywhere.

The glass noodles with shrimp get the most attention here. Could it be because they are bright purple and blue? I have to admit, I have never seen such pretty noodles!

Queen Violet offers traditional Thai and Chinese dishes, American breakfasts, and many genuinely creative dishes inspired by Chef Sara Thongchoet. And not everything is violet, though you may find a purple flower on your plate.

The pancakes are sweet and fluffy, whether you choose these purple beauties served with violet sauce or traditional blueberry or chocolate chip cakes.

Fusion shows up not just in the types of dishes offered but in some of the menu items themselves like the Chinese Chicken Waffles which pair an American waffle with crispy chicken with orange sauce.

If you have room, dessert is definitely worth considering. You can enjoy Thai Mango and Sticky Rice, fresh Banana S’Mores, cheesecakes, or ice cream on toast with fruit and salted caramel.

You can enjoy traditional beverages like iced Thai Tea, hot green tea, or sake. Then there are various soft drinks, lemonades, wines, beers, and signature cocktails. And yes, there are a few purple specials like the Lavender Lemonade or the Queen Violet mimosa.

Surrounding the courtyard are a few interior dining areas that have an elegant and distinctively modern Asian feel - different from the outside but every bit as lovely and charming.
