Is it just me or does it seem like the west side of South Dakota is the side that gets the most attention? While the Black Hills of SoDak are obviously fabulous, there is a whole other side to the Mount Rushmore State to discover, which includes this surprising small town that makes for an excellent weekend getaway:

Located in southeast SoDak is Sioux Falls suburb of Brandon, which bills itself as "Building a Better Life."

Home to just under 10,000, Brandon boasts a friendly, small town feel, yet is close to a number of big attractions like Falls Park...
