The train is located in the 1880 Town in Murdo, South Dakota. The town itself is a time capsule from well over a century ago that's full of artifacts and recreations from the era. Houses, businesses, you name it. The only thing that is a bit out of place when it comes to the time period is the train diner that's straight from the 1950s.

You don't have to visit the town to eat at the diner (although I highly recommend it), anyone can stop by to enjoy their daily breakfast and lunch specials. If you get a chance, definitely try the caramel rolls - they are to DIE for, and always fresh, warm, and homemade.
