The Remote South Dakota Restaurant With The Best Seafood Ever
South Dakota might not be the first state people think of when they're in the mood for seafood, but we actually have many tasty restaurants that serve fresh, delicious fish and shellfish. This little gem is in the adorable, remote town of Spearfish, but it's well worth a trip if you're looking for delicious local and imported seafood.

Bay Leaf Cafe is located at 126 W. Hudson Street in Spearfish.
The restaurant is located in a historic building that was once the Queen City Hotel, built in 1892.
The dining room is warm and cozy.
A vibrant part of the local Spearfish community, Bay Leaf Cafe features art created by local artists on its walls.
The cafe features fresh seafood, offering specials according to what's in season.
The herb encrusted walleye is one example of local fish that's available fresh here.
The Alaskan seafood platter includes halibut, scallops and jumbo shrimp.
During the seafood festivals, other fresh seafood, such as stuffed crab, is available.
Every meal is served with French's signature herb rolls.
If you don't like seafood, no worries. There are plenty of other menu items, like the delicious burgers and hand-battered onion rings.
The Monte Cristo sandwich is another favorite here.
The desserts here are fresh-baked and delicious.
In warm weather, enjoy sidewalk dining where you can get the full small-town vibe.

The restaurant is open Monday through Wednesday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm; Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm; closed Sunday.
