Most folks in the Palmetto State don’t know St. Helena Island has a secluded beach in South Carolina that’s very hidden and usually fairly deserted. And while total seclusion isn’t what we’re always hoping for with a day at the beach, when it is what you’re looking for, you’ll likely find it here!
Welcome to Lands End Beach, a 1500-foot stretch of pure sand that just may become your new beach hideaway.

You'll find it right off of Lands End Road, which also happens to take you almost all the way to Fort Fremont.

It's right in front of Fort Fremont that you'll find Lands End Beach, accessible via a short trail from the preserve.
While away the entire day listening to the gentle sounds of the surf and admiring the water views.

This small little paradise is tucked away at the confluence of the Cowen Reach (just below the mouth of Cowen Creek) and the Port Royal Sound. Since it's not oceanfront, per se, it means fewer crowds than the usual beachfront spots.
