The Unique Village In South Carolina Where Time Stands Still
In as much as things always seem to progress and move forward, there are those among us who sometimes just wish things could simply stay the same – forever. There’s a small community, we can call it a village, in the middle of the state that comes as close to time standing still as we’ve ever seen. Take a look at Rembert, the unique village in South Carolina where time stand still.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/
From their historic buildings, roomy rural setting and tendency to host a variety of visitors at their ever-popular restaurants, both Rembert and Boykin combined truly stand out as a village that hasn’t changed much. They’ve withstood the test of time. Rembert and Boykin are located approximately 10 minutes south of Camden and 30 minutes east of Columbia. Have you visited either place? Feel free to join the discussion.
