This Jazz Brunch Cruise In South Carolina Is An Amazing Way To Start A Day
For the seventh year in a row, Travel & Leisure recently named Charleston the Best City In America – and we’re beaming with pride that one of our own has remained at the top of the list for seven years running! If you’ve never been, then now is the time to start planning a getaway to America’s #1 city. Once you’ve explored the extraordinary historic district on foot, you’ll want to see the steeples and magnificent architecture of the city from the water so plan on partaking in a harbor tour that features a gourmet jazz brunch cruise in South Carolina that’s like no other.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
What a perfect combination for a weekend outing: light jazz music and a gourmet spread of Lowcountry favorites aboard the Carolina Queen.
Charleston is also known as the Holy City and views from the water make it obvious how the nickname came about. From the water, you'll see steeple after steeple peeping above the trees and historic buildings on the skyline.
Down below, indulge in the gourmet brunch laid out in expert fashion. Expect to find shrimp and grits (a Lowcountry favorite) as well as French toast, eggs, ham, bacon, potatoes, fruit, and homemade southern biscuits. Cloth-covered tables await for your dining pleasure.
Any of the decks on the Carolina Queen afford delicious views of the sights around the harbor, but our favorite has to be the upper deck. The cruise departs rain or shine, so if it rains for a bit, the other two decks are completely covered so you can still enjoy this unique Charleston tour to the max. (The upper deck also has a small cover for shade.)
The Jazz Brunch Cruise is offered on select days from April through October. The cost is $46.95/person and includes everything except beverages (orange juice is included). A cash bar (alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks) is available aboard the vessel. For more information, see this page on the official website for Charleston Harbor Tours and follow the Facebook page here. Purchase tickets at this link, and enjoy!
Address: Charleston, SC, 20403 (The exact departure address will be given when you get your ticket confirmation.)
