Sometimes, the best things often come in small packages. That’s certainly true for the niche restaurant found hiding inside a seemingly normal house tucked away in an alley where you’d never see it – unless you know what you’re looking for.
There's much to love about Chez Nous, starting with the fact that it's hidden inside an old Charleston single house.
In fact, if not for the plate-sized sign affixed to the exterior, you may not even know there is a restaurant inside this skinny home located in uptown Charleston.
But the location and the rustic charm of the venue are only part of the allure of Chez Nous. The menu changes daily, and there are only two appetizers, two entrees, and two desserts from which to choose.
You'd expect the food to be exclusively French, but in fact, the eatery specializes in dishes from Southern France, Northern Italy, and Northern Spain.
Chez Nous is located at 9 Payne Ct. Charleston, SC 29403. It’s open for lunch and dinner, Tuesday through Sunday: 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Reservations are highly recommended! You can make them at this link.
