Tulip Field In Rhode Island

March 16, 2021

How long has Wicked Tulips Flower Farm in Rhode Island been around?

The tulip field in Rhode Island has a very romantic story. Wicked Tulips all began in 2009 in Virginia when Keriann, a self described “green girl” met Jeroen Koeman, who hailed from a Dutch family of tulip growers. They fell in love, got married, and started EcoTulips LLC. In September 2015, they moved from Central Virginia to Rhode Island and started their new endeavor: Wicked Tulips Flower Farm. (In 2018, the couple decided to simplify things and combine EcoTulips.com with Wicked Tulips Flower Farm.) Today, everything is sold under Wicked Tulips name, and this flower farm is hailed as one of the best in Rhode Island.

Are there any U-Pick flower fields in Rhode Island?

In addition to Wicked Tulips, Rhode Islanders can pick their own blooms at Electric Moon Peony Farm, Petals Farm, and West Beach Farm. If you’re into flowers but not necessarily trekking out to the field to pick them yourself, Robin Hollow Farm has some of the most incredible bouquets in the state; their arrangements are widely used for weddings and other big events.

What are the best things to do in spring in Rhode Island?

Little Rhody is absolutely resplendent during the spring, as the state comes alive with vibrant color and warmth. For a fun, tourist-in-your-state experience, La Gondola is a relaxing ride down the waterway of Providence, and weather is perfect in the springtime for this unique outdoor adventure. If you loved the above  tulip field in Rhode Island, you’ll find six acres of more than 500 varieties of azaleas and rhododendrons at Kinney Azalea Gardens, a beautiful botanical garden in South Kingston. And Green Animals Topiary Garden is simply splendid in the spring; this green garden in Portsmouth is full of enchantment and whimsy.
