Rhode Island may be tiny, but we have so many gorgeous cities and towns, each with their own unique vibes and reasons to visit. One town that we think is underrated and more than deserving of a visit is East Greenwich.
East Greenwich is a town in Kent County with a small population of roughly 15,000 people.
As the wealthiest area in all of Rhode Island, this is a great town to have a little adventure playing like a rich person might!
Studded with gorgeous old colonial homes and municipal buildings, make sure to keep your eyes open as you are driving through the town to your various adventures.
There are unique shops (like a dog bakery,) spas, dining, and drinking to be found all on this one awesome street.
If you are interested in history you can make a visit to the Varnum Armory, a military history museum. Also of interest is the Varnum House Museum and the New England Wireless and Steam Museum.
Don't forget to allow some time to soak in the sea air as well! The waterfront in East Greenwich is gorgeous, and a visit to Goddard Memorial state park or Scalloptown Park are a perfect way to stretch your legs and see all this town has to offer.
The town's gorgeous waterfront is also studded with a fair few bars, clubs, and restaurants, so make sure you plan some outfits for an exciting night out! This little town truly has so many sides from which it can be admired.
East Greenwich seems like an absolutely adorable spot to spend a few days exploring, relaxing, and a maybe even carousing a bit. What are you most excited to do on your weekend getaway?
