Ice cream is a summertime sweet that no one can say 'no' to. From classics like vanilla and strawberry to more extreme tastes like mint chocolate chip, chocolate chip cookie dough, and cotton candy, ice cream is a must-have when the weather gets hot and beach days are at an all-time high. So if you're in Rhode Island, where do you go? We suggest checking out The Inside Scoop in North Kingstown.
The Inside Scoop is a small little ice cream shop in North Kingstown serving its locals and tourists homemade ice cream seasonally from 1 PM - 8 PM Monday through Friday and 12 PM - 8 PM Saturdays and Sundays.
The Bucci family opened The Inside Scoop in 2001. They serve over 64 flavors of homemade ice cream made with only the highest quality ingredients.
However, traditional ice cream is not all you will find on the menu. The Inside Scoop also serves up ice cream cakes, smoothies, sorbet, parfaits, and sherbert.
The ice cream cakes are made to order for special events, birthdays, or just for a family treat!
If you are lactose intolerant, that's no problem! The Inside Scoop has more than just sorbet and sherbert options, they also have vegan gelato which is made with coconut cream.
The outdoor dining is perfect for sunny summer days. Just sit back, relax, and lick your cone before it melts!
Frozen yogurt is also an option at The Inside Scoop, both in non-fat and low-fat flavors. And, if you want traditional ice cream, but are looking to cut back on sugar, you can try one of their "no added sugar" flavors to tame your craving.
So if you are craving something sweet in the summer heat, rush on down to The Inside Scoop before a line forms. This is a popular spot! But, a little wait in line is worth the wait for this fresh quality ice cream. What are you going to get? Let us know in the comments!
