Rhode Island’s Renaissance Providence Downtown Hotel Should Be Your Next Staycation
As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
No matter how much you love your home, there comes a point where you’ll feel the need for a change of scenery, even a local one. And while the only places Rhode Islanders are currently exploring are their own backyards, there will come a day when we’re welcome to travel again. And when that time comes, we highly suggest relaxing and recharging at a luxury hotel. The Renaissance Providence Downtown Hotel is a perfect pick for a staycation.

But when the financial crisis hit in 1929, construction was halted. When World War II started, construction was stopper permanently, and the building was abandoned.

The building is now on the National Register of Historic Places under Masonic Temple.

It's now one of the most high end hotels in the city, hosting weddings and numerous other formal events each year.

And needless to say, the rooms and suites here are extraordinarily comfortable.

And while you certainly won't have to leave the property to have a great stay, some of Rhode Island’s most famous attractions (and plenty of places to eat and shop) are just a short walk away.

You can also grab a nightcap at The Avery, a stylish bar and lounge.

You can expect to spend around $300 per night on a reservation here, but the pampering and relaxation make it all worth it.
Have you ever stayed at this luxury hotel? If not, it may be time to make some future plans.
