Take This Outdoorsy Weekend Getaway In Rhode Island To Get Off The Grid
Living in the second most densely populated state is an exhilarating experience at times, but let’s be honest. It also has its drawbacks. Sometimes you need to escape and find a little peace and quiet. What better way to have a calm and solitary weekend than in the gorgeous Rhode Island wilderness? This off the grid trip is the perfect answer.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. Your off the grid trip starts at Burlingame State Park and Campground located at 1 Burlingame State Park Road in the gorgeous coastal town of Charlestown.
This massive park is filled with deep wood camping, amazing hiking trails, and so much more! It does have some campsites closer to amenities and restrooms for those that want the camping experience without the hassles.
Optional: If you're trying to find some fresh produce, or simply want to stroll through some gorgeous gardens during your peaceful weekend, drive just up the road to the Fantastic Umbrella Factory while staying in Charlestown. You can have a fresh cup of coffee and reflect on your rugged outdoor weekend.
