This Former Gas Station Is Now A Rhode Island Restaurant, And It’s Delightful

Fueling up on delicious food is one of our favorite pastimes here in Rhode Island, and for good reason -- our dining scene includes some of New England's best eateries. That's certainly the case for Huck's Filling Station, a former gas station turned casual fine dining spot. The decor here is minimalist in nature, but the cuisine is anything but.

Huck's Filling Station is located on Post Road in East Greenwich.

The owners, Ed Brady, Jeff Quinlan and executive chef Andrea Leonardo, launched one of the Ocean State's top restaurants, Milk Money -- so they're certainly no strangers to out-of-the-box buildings.

This former service station only has 26 tables inside, with room for a few more at the bar.

As you can imagine, this presented a host of issues over the last year. But the team got creative with takeout and outdoor dining options, and the restaurant survived.

These days, things are slowly returning to normal, and you can grab a seat in the small dining room...

... or, you can opt for the small outdoor area, which is illuminated with lights and fire pits.

But no matter where you decide to seat, you're truly in for a treat when it comes to your meal.

The cuisine at Huck's Filling Station is Southern inspired, but fresh, local, seasonal ingredients are used whenever possible.

The team takes advantage of the four full seasons Rhode Island experiences and uses local bounty while being inspired by trends around the world.

The restaurant is open for dinner all week long, and on the weekends, you can enjoy a hearty brunch here.

All menus rotate regularly, so you can have a new favorite every time you go.

Not only are they extremely creative, they're true works of art.

Huck's Filling Stations is currently open Wednesday - Friday.
