Or, do you like to go bold with your hot dogs? Well, this Pittsburgh eatery promises something for all hot dog lovers - whether you crave meat or you're a vegetarian or a vegan.
Get ready for a delightfully delicious challenge - choosing from more than a dozen different franks - when you visit Franktuary in Lawrenceville, a popular hot dog joint since 2004.
Founded by friends Megan and Tim, the popular hot dog shop started in Trinity Cathedral's basement. Today, you can get your hot dog fix at Franktuary in Lawrenceville or from its food truck.
So, what'll you order? A corn dog, a New Yorker, or a Pittsburgh? An all-beef hot dog, the Pittsburgh's topped with coleslaw, a pierogie, and mustard or sour cream sandwiched on a potato roll.
Or, how does the West Virginia Slaw Dog, with coleslaw and house coney sauce, sound?
Of course, you can also create your own frank, starting by choosing your meat - all-beef, turkey, or local pork and beef kielbasa. Vegan or vegetarian? Try the tofu or Beyond Meat Italian sausage.
Then, start building your dog, choosing from dozens of toppings, including an assortment of cheeses, sauces, mustard, and chili. Really daring? Add gummy bears, mac and cheese, or sprinkles to your frank.
Hot dogs may be the star of Franktuary. But, you've got plenty of other choices, too. Scoop up a piping hot bowl of chili or soup.
Or, opt for a plate of pierogies, a crisp salad, or create your own poutine dish.
